Our Lady of Soccorso
Pius XI Casti Connubii, 12-31-1930, Paragraph 67,
Magestrates Obligation to Protect Innocent Unborn Infants
February 23rd 2015 @ 7:42 pm

Those who hold the reins of government should not forget that it is the duty of public authority by appropriate laws and sanctions to defend the lives of the innocent, and this all the more so when those whose lives are endangered and assailed cannot defend themselves. Among whom we must mention in the first place infants hidden in the mother’s womb. And if the public magistrates not only do not defend them, but by their laws and ordinances betray them to death at the hands of doctors or of others, let them remember that God is the Judge and Avenger of innocent blood which cries from the earth to Heaven. (Genesis, IV, 10.)

These words are paragraph 67 of the encyclical Casti Connubi by Pope Pius XI, issued on New Year’s Eve, December 31,1930, not long before Germany plunged into the evil of killing millions of innocent, "unwanted" human beings, starting with about 80,000 mentally and physically imperfect Germans and leading on to millions of Jews, Gypsies, Poles, and others.

These words now apply to the California Abortion Holocaust whose promoters and agents are now killing approximately a quarter million innocent defenseless babies every year in California with the tacit and apathetic acquiescence of most Californians and with only tepid and timid opposition of Catholic leaders who have become fiscal "social justice" hostages of the politicians who promote the California Abortion Holocaust.

This California Abortion Holocaust has now been perpetrated for more than 47 years since January 1, 1968, when the California "Beilensen Act" took effect, more than 5 years before Roe v. Wade was proclaimed by the United States Supreme Court. It has resulted in the prenatal killing of over 10 million innocent defenseless babies in California.

Take away God, all respect for civil laws, all regard for even the most necessary institutions disappears; justice is scouted; the very liberty that belongs to the law of nature is trodden underfoot; and men go so far as to destroy the very structure of the family, which is the first and firmest foundation of the social structure.
