I am a total geek and a huge lover of playing sport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I co-founded a marketing agency called 4Ps Marketing in 2008 and sold it in 2016. It was during my time as an agency owner that we started to uncover the <strong>association between employee happiness and business success<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I am Co-Founder and Head of Global Happiness at The Happiness Index. There are approximately <strong>2 billion<\/strong> <strong>unhappy employees<\/strong> in the world of work and this has to change.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_can_businesses_do_to_help_their_team_be_happy_at_work\"><\/span><strong>What can businesses do to help their team be happy at work?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Listen<\/strong> to them, and<strong> act on their feedback<\/strong>!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_do_you_measure_work_happiness\"><\/span><strong>How do you measure work happiness?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You start by asking people how they feel. In September global <strong>employee happiness reached a record low<\/strong> according to our data. It will get better BUT we need to understand WHY, so we can help improve things.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The reasons for happiness are different in every single company we work with. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Happiness impacts <strong>business performance<\/strong> so this is as much a <strong>performance issue<\/strong> as it is a humanitarian issue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_do_you_think_are_the_major_challenges_of_measuring_maintaining_happy_teams_while_working_remotely\"><\/span><strong>What do you think are the major challenges of measuring &amp; maintaining happy teams while working remotely?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Micro managers. Ignorant CEOs. Sociopaths.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Are_your_team_still_working_remotely_How_have_you_found_this_and_in_future_what_do_you_think_is_the_best_approach_fully_remote_working_part-time_remote_working_full-time_in_the_office_etc\"><\/span><strong>Are your team still working remotely? How have you found this, and in <\/strong><strong>future what do you think is the best approach? (fully remote working, part-time remote working, full-time in the office etc)<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We have a blended approach that is remote first but then people can choose to work somewhere wonderful like Work.Life if they choose to.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some people prefer to work from home, some people prefer to work from an office, some people prefer a blended approach. 100% of people want the<strong> flexibility<\/strong> to choose.
