Introducing the person behind Work.Life<\/a>\u2019s newest and biggest workspace: Chris Kasapi. With seven floors, offices for teams of up to 40, and a prime location just off Leather Lane Market, St Cross Street<\/a> is a game-changer in our portfolio of flexible workspaces. And Chris, with his energy, experience, and passion for building communities, is the perfect person to lead the charge.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chris has been part of the Work.Life family for 1.5 years, and he\u2019s already left his mark. Starting as Membership Manager at Holborn<\/a>, he quickly took on Farringdon, Aldersgate Street<\/a> too, then stepped into an Area Manager role. Now, he\u2019s taking the reins at St Cross Street\u2014and we can\u2019t wait to see the community he cultivates.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the theatre to coworking<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chris\u2019s journey to Work.Life isn\u2019t your typical coworking story. Before joining us, he spent years as a Theatre Manager at The Troubadour, managing teams and creating memorable experiences for audiences. While he loved the buzz of the theatre world, Chris craved a role where he could make deeper connections and be part of a community.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWork.Life\u2019s culture really stood out to me,\u201d Chris explains. \u201cI wanted to be part of a company where people genuinely support each other, and where I could work in a role that\u2019s both people-facing and impactful. Work.Life gave me exactly that.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

His background in theatre prepared him well for the fast-paced, people-focused environment of coworking. \u201cTheatre is all about collaboration and creating a space where everyone feels welcome. It\u2019s not that different from what we do at Work.Life.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Why St Cross Street?<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When the opportunity to manage St Cross Street came up, Chris didn\u2019t hesitate. With its size, central location, and exciting new features, this space is unlike any other in the Work.Life portfolio.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always wanted to be part of opening a space \u2013 I did the same when I was working in theatre \u2013 touring it, helping set it up, and building a team. There\u2019s something so rewarding about seeing a space come to life and then watching the community grow within it. St Cross Street is such a great opportunity, and I\u2019m thrilled to be a part of it.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For Chris, this role is also about putting his stamp on something new. \u201cIt\u2019s not just about managing a space; it\u2019s about shaping the culture and creating an environment where people really want to come to work \u2013 that\u2019s what Work.Life is all about.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

What makes Farringdon special?<\/b><\/p>\n

As someone who\u2019s spent plenty of time in the area, Chris is quick to sing Farringdon\u2019s praises.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLeather Lane Market is definitely a highlight – it\u2019s full of amazing food options, and there\u2019s such a lively atmosphere. I also love that St Cross Street is in the heart of the jewellery district. It\u2019s got this dramatic vibe that\u2019s so unique to the area.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But it\u2019s not just about food and dramatics. \u201cThere\u2019s so much culture here too. The Barbican is one of my favourite spots, and Piano Works is perfect for a fun night out. Farringdon has this mix of work and play that makes it such a great place to be.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Looking ahead: Big plans for St Cross Street<\/b><\/p>\n

So, what\u2019s Chris most excited about as St Cross Street opens its doors?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhere do I start? The roof terrace is going to be amazing in the summer. It\u2019s perfect for events or even just taking a break during the day. The events space itself is incredible \u2013 we\u2019ve got so much potential to bring people together. And then there are the bespoke features like the podcast studio and screening room, which really set this space apart. It\u2019s exciting to have so many ways to support our members\u2019 work and creativity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Chris is also passionate about creating a welcoming and dynamic community. \u201cWork.Life spaces are all about connection, and I\u2019m looking forward to finding new ways to bring people together. I\u2019ve already got a few ideas in mind, like ice cream Mondays\u2026 We\u2019ll see how that goes down!\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
